Season 1 is worth max a 6 because of the bad acting. Season 1 was too much s*x, season 2 is good and not too much s*x. This season has the right balance of drama, laughter, character development, and build up. The actor who plays Anthony (Jonathan Bailey, he deserves bigger on-screen roles) is an outstanding actor. After the last one that I read ( Romancing Mister Bridgerton), I was seriously nervous to continue the Bridgerton series, but I was not disappointed.March 2022: season 2 is better, the acting is so much better and the storyline as well. Overall, I have to admit that I really enjoyed this one. After all, it’s not the man’s fault that men were born without manners, right? She is so sassy and full of personality that it made me smile every time. One of my favorite things about this novel was Eloise’s letters to everyone at the beginning of each chapter. His fear of being a good father also made his side of the story intriguing to say the least. Having that added baggage of Marina’s suicide gave Sir Phillip the depth that he needed. That one was amazing and so emotive and beautiful (even if Benedict kind of sucked sometimes). With Marina committing suicide, it really brought an emotion to the book that wasn’t there in most of the others. So, the beginning was definitely interesting. I think that it really gave the novel that extra spark that it needed to stand out from the rest. I absolutely adored the twins and how Eloise formed a bond with them. What made this book stand out from the rest, though, was bringing children into the mix of their love story. Not only does the plot have a little more than the rest of the books, but I find the slow-burning chemistry between Sir Phillip and Eloise to be amazing.

I always knew I loved Eloise, but her story is by far one of my favorites. I have definitely found my new favorite Bridgerton book.
